It is with renewed satisfaction that the Ministry of Youth and Civic Education presents the 2024 edition of its statistical yearbook. This reference tool, which has been published regularly since 2022, is considered essential for the development, evaluation and continuous improvement of public policies in the fields of youth, civic education and national integration.
Indeed, the importance of statistical data in steering government action no longer needs to be demonstrated. The multidimensional challenges that characterise our context – demographic change, socio-economic upheaval, technological transition and environmental issues – require a rigorous approach based on reliable data. The Statistical Yearbook 2024 contributes to this as a tool for guiding MINJEC’s action. The data presented in this document provides a tangible illustration of the progress made, while also highlighting disparities and structural challenges that call for targeted interventions.
