Program 146: National Integration and Civic Participation
Programme 146 is built around three actions: the Promotion of a) national integration; b) community life and c) youth participation. It aims to strengthen republican values among the populations in order to consolidate national unity, living together in peace and social cohesion.
This programme will therefore aim at:
–Implementing actions and initiatives to strengthen the feeling of patriotism, solidarity and tolerance as well as harmonious living together, such as the local living together workshops;
–Developing synergies of actions using advocacy, cultural and inter-generational meetings, activities for intermingling and exchanges between youths and adults, the setting up of a platform for exchange in social networks;
–Increasing youth participation in commemorative days, various forums and other national and international youth meetings;
–Continuing the implementation of the Support Programme for the Return and Integration of Youth from the Diaspora (PARIJEDI) and its component DIALYJ (Diaspora and local Youth Joint venture);
–Promoting the organisation and development of the youth associative movement through the effective renewal of all the bodies of the Cameroon National Youth Council (CNYC);
–Strengthening the citizen and voluntary participation of youths in local development through the establishment of Municipal and Regional Youth Councils;
–Increasing synergy of action with the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism as well as partner administrations;
–Increasing synergy of action with the National Committee for Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (NCDDR).

At the central level:
–Technical Department;
–Programmes and projects for the mobilisation, financing and accompaniment of Cameroonian youths by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education (MINJEC);
–National Office of the Cameroon National Youth Council (CNYC)
–National Civic Service Agency for Participation in Development (NCSAPD).
–Attached structures.
At the deconcentrated and local levels:
–Regional, Divisional and Sub-divisional Delegations of Youth Affairs and Civic Education;
–Multipurpose Youth Empowerment Centres (MYECs);
–National Youth and Sports Centres (NYSC) of Kribi;
–National Centre for Mass Civic Education and National Integration (CNEPCI);
–Regional, Divisional and Sub-divisional Offices of the CNYC;
–Local Authorities.
