Pierre Ismaël Bidoung Mkpatt, born 16 November 1953 in Nanga Eboko.

Biography:

Pierre Ismaël Bidoung Mkpatt was born on 16 November 1953 in Nanga Eboko, in the Centre region of Cameroon. He is a political playwright. He is an academic, educator and social facilitator4. He was director of the Institut National de la Jeunesse et du Sport (INJS) before becoming a minister.

Policy:

Minister for Youth and Sport, then Minister for Youth and Civic Education from 2011 to 2015, he was appointed Minister for Sport and Physical Education on 2 October 20155. In the new government of 2019, he was appointed Minister of Arts and Culture. He is a member of the Rassemblement Démocratique du Peuple Camerounais (RDPC), the ruling party. Within the party, he is in charge of relations with the CPDM’s women (OFRDPC) and youth (OJRDPC).
